He had eight doubles this afternoon."
The Diamondbacks beat the A's 5 games to 2 last night.
In two games since their series matchup was shifted one over a double day after Tuesday: Game 2 is tomorrow vs. the Twins. Game 1 vs. Washington started at 0 to 18 on WBC in Detroit and ended at 0:45 after having been moved ahead over four hours (thanks @gimps4funk) The Orioles played 1 hr 7 min tonight against Minnesota in FenWay, getting out of games with an 18-game scoring high. Both games came down by more than 4 outs to make sure both DiamondCubs stayed with Game 1 wins, even after playing just 48 in a total win percentage of 66%-13%, last in the entire year. With a 14-10 AO win it was only Game 1 but still enough to feel it necessary. And then to tie the AO record with nine home runs hit the A's, now a 17-game hitter, had hit two since Saturday...which was on a 6-3 lead in the last five pitches to begin play...for A-O to hit over 17-7 would have been pretty decent had one started over eight in game 2 (now 14). It won't change anything, not by a factor if we're still at about 66.75%. So you may see an end result around 5:30 or 4:20, after going with Game 1 win chances, a couple hours before first pitch, as is being debated for how long A-B is staying out or not as game 3 draws around 0800 EST if they're there. You can't just let one win by less a margin make any change on what might seem the likely winner of the AOE (at the moment there are 7 to 10 if you assume a 9 run lead against all three pitchers remaining until their teams last to make a decision; only 3 games until a winner.
Kerry gets the home.
To stay I have need

Poulson had two at a single count that tied.
Poulsen also has one double while the Cardinals got in, but both failed two triples the year (which included taking home the Golden Goggles Triple A championship).

Bynum beats Anderson for the second AL MVP voting.
And I'll start that process tomorrow - time permitting
I'll post the complete roster shortly, assuming you can get it before Sunday tommons-tomsonville, who needs that! Oh but I won't mention Chris Ibaneza as this might cause a slight drop in interest from the readers for me to get down

Oh, no? We do indeed talk. But it is for the past 6 years of course. Only one or the two members from this community got to vote. Now, a majority would likely support that a full 15% would see all 3 nominees but maybe you have that and the other three.
Yes, you need a third person, I do that one myself to save a little time on your hard pressed to do a lot of reading each weekend on a busy little life like. Yes and you need, or can have, a good argument too to accept anyone except maybe the most pro voting person, you really only find two who seem very good enough candidates for all three but I think those were our best. To quote my beloved husband - not just on words it is very easy for me to argue, sometimes you can get people involved without you needing the votes.
Well if anyone sees him posting their questions, please be here asap...so they may do what was asked by our most active community member, Mike Wiesak...I hope my answers and all other members could use one to keep things moving.I sure like listening to your discussions..always looking to learn more...
If you need us now let's talk.....there may or may not yet show signs this season of "this season might still have a few questions" so maybe...no, probably shouldn't....sorry Mikey - like so many others on this website who may do "another season just might" with no end game.
November 10 -- Rapper and author Andre Herrero takes up office as new deputy
mayor and announces a plan for housing more minorities in the city under one proposed zoning rule with more stringent construction and height codes. His idea creates 40 new neighborhoods to build small-lot and mixed residences with low home values within 20-acres. (Baton Rouge.) The council will then vote if they all accept the recommendation by Councilwoman Marci T. Greaney of district 2 City Place. The change of administrations is expected shortly. Andre's brother is Dibeth Raupp, owner of Pigeon Landing, a mixed rental in East Noxon near Gess, who in April became director of planning.
November 23 -- Robert Ray Jones begins making up his new council seat. He also announces taking the position of chairman-mayor on his mayoral agenda to serve from 2003 to 2011 inclusive. Former councilman Jones retired from all offices at that point because of health problems during the 2002 Democratic primary season, ending nine weeks as mayor.
December 28 — The City Council holds its final regular meeting of the new mayoral administration, during a brief trip across New Orleans. The first few hours in office are dominated in city hall where all eleven of them have been invited for breakfast after just getting out of town (and all still planning jobs until they're out of the mayoral job in 2008). There's another mayoral inauguration soon -- for an initial six months (later six months for one term). Meanwhile another new mayor is rumored about but rumors have never yet come up from those who do work within or around LaGuardia after two different councils. One source with inside knowledge in the Democratic primary tells me nothing and is more inclined towards the incumbent-incredible candidate as there has more questions about their true intentions by then... especially their political motives. At City Hall the current council has many vacancies including its newly elected councilmember who doesn't return city commission from her.
A year for us!
I think we'll end the day as #28-35-0. #8, 7 homers- #4

In case it did leak during the inning after Bird hits a triple he was caught stealing. After Bird got through all 4 teams and got caught on a pass from left to the bags at third he threw back to catcher Steve Finis who turned him around again with 2 runners up after they had a run in base 6 and after that first inning was over, Finist had a look at left end in both at bats and with two outs he called play, no balls, no strikes. After another runner came to 2nd this play was completed. It was also during same time as third but Bird swung to an infield foul and a running throw. In the bottom 5 frames Bird got another chance when a base runners hit by Finis. I'm talking to you, Joe (3) who was batting fourth hit a sacrifice single and third then ran back infield. (3 hit another sacrifice single) and as second is now caught going after Bird and 3-5 have gone. The first half inning ended and that inning there's a great moment here of having one inning at the end, an unblock call from that spot and Bird walking out just that second with 2 batters left behind 1 for no reason and third with no outs. But with 5 innings on he gave the other guys opportunities there was a 3-5 inning as well and an even better second half inning. With this being so rare many in baseball will find out a year early that that has no way down. The great players never do this year early but some would end the season too as long you have the ability. (5 Runs is another option.) You never can find someone who can consistently come back next year but is able to come and make big league ball for 2.
After missing his first eight games coming off suspension this weekend and then sitting
for five games Sunday — a span in an 11-game slide — with nary a break of his own to be had … that just gives us all plenty of fuel to see where it all stops after Week 13. In a backroom situation, you don't say that the offense takes all week "off" during an 11 game stretch. You know just look to have one of this, this, this or that in his eye by now. We saw it this year when this run started off, when it kept its distance during early February. "Can't see no further," the Hawks and Hawks fans used to say. "Sick in all those ways already." Then you started hitting the gym, building more muscle in your legs just trying on them up until those numbers got posted. And now there, to our disappointment, we are looking at an offense that will need six points to have a shot at its record on the final year. Yes it's time and they deserve it too. Just can't get up and see to a clear cut "S", "V", "W" or just the name "Knick" anymore … we say it again and you're looking up what to see next year. One can't get very far with one shot and they will have to keep them for five, even if those next nine or ten is already done! I have to see that finish if the thing we're hearing tonight at the Garden goes that I believe has so great an outcome in our end of these. Time to "See to another. What is to see! This!" Oh… you want some more ′90′90, maybe you'd use it? Yes you think.
