While most of us don´t take this issue much into account, "A Christmas Letter" and the story of Fonz's 'long, lost relationship with the world' seems relevant on many a level if no one seems willing do an episode/film project dedicated entirely or at this time to our great American storyline of the 1950's and before.
And there have been some.
